Catherine has assisted hundreds of clients in her law practice for many years. Catherine provides caring and compassionate representation during very difficult and stressful situations. A complete assessment of each case is conducted, afterwards, a recommended course of action is given. It is important to know what your rights are before agreeing to something as important as the future of you and your family. Many times the cases are settled to the satisfaction of both parties. This is the preferred method of finalizing the case, as the parties truly only know what is best for them or their family. If they are not able to agree, the matter will go before the Judge. Catherine is a member of the American Association of Matrimonial Lawyers, the San Diego County Bar Association and the Foothills Bar Association.

During the 1990's, she represented numerous individuals pro bono through the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program and was a speaker at continuing education seminars for lawyers. Catherine has been certified as a specialist in Family Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization since 1998. The State Bar of California program for certifying specialists is a Supreme Court approved method of certifying attorneys as specialists. Attorneys are certified through a process which includes attendance at approved educational programs, completion of tasks in the specialty area, a written examination and peer review by fellow lawyers and local Judges.

Catherine adheres to the California Attorney Guidelines of Civility and Professionalism adopted by the State Bar of California in particular, SECTION 19. In addition to other applicable Sections of these Guidelines, in family law proceedings an attorney should seek to reduce emotional tension and trauma and encourage the parties and attorneys to interact in a cooperative atmosphere, and keep the best interests of the children in mind.

Catherine provides legal services to individuals having cases heard in the El Cajon Superior Court and the San Diego Superior Court. She is a San Diego native and grew up in San Carlos, attending Patrick Henry High School. She has a B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration from San Diego State University and obtained her law degree from Western State University (now Thomas Jefferson School of Law). Regardless of whether you live in San Diego County or elsewhere in the world, if your case is in either the El Cajon Superior Court and the San Diego Superior Court, Catherine can assist you in your legal matter.
